General Conditions for consumer clients

These general conditions apply to all services that Chouette advokatbyrå aktiebolag performs for its clients. In addition to these conditions, the Swedish Bar Association’s code of professional conduct* always applies.

  1. Performance of the services
    The services will be performed by persons employed by Chouette. We will agree separately with you on when and how Chouette will employ subcontractors for the performance of parts of the services. External suppliers will be appointed as needed and as agreed with you.
  2. Taxes
    We do not provide tax consulting services and do not assume any liability for any tax implications resulting from or in connection with the services performed.
  3. Fees and charges
    Our prices are based on an agglomeration of a number of factors, including time spent working, the extent of the services provided, difficulty and importance as well as final result in accordance with the Swedish Bar Association’s code of professional conduct. If you prefer specific terms for the fees, such as budget limits, ceiling rates etc., we are always willing to negotiate a solution that fits your requirements. In addition to the fees, we will charge separately for travel and other specific expenses for the performance of the services.
    When obliged by applicable and mandatory legislation we will in certain situations provide information to the authorities on your VAT number and the value of the services we have provided to you.
  4. Invoicing
    Unless otherwise agreed, we will bill once monthly in arrears or at times that are most appropriate considering the nature of the services provided.
  5. Limitation of liability
    Our liability is limited to SEK 40 million per loss.
  6. Applicable law
    These conditions and all services performed as a whole are subject to Swedish law. Disputes arising out of the services shall be submitted to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the District Court of Stockholm. A consumer may also turn to the Swedish Bar Association and get the dispute decided by their Consumer Dispute Committee, which can be contacted at the address
